The pedicure was great; the gal massaged my feet and shins with a sugar scrub which started off exfoliating and gradually smoothed out as the sugar granules dissolved. I've seen this used at higher-end salons before, but never at a small, 18-dollar-pedi kind of place like this. She made intermittent chit-chat, asking me about my day and, surprisingly, she gathered all on her own that it was my first time there (impressive) so we chatted a little about Yelp. Overall, I absolutely enjoyed myself and I will go back. As others have said, their collection of polish is high-quality and well-rounded. My toe nails are now a cute shade of purple and look lovely.
There were only two things missing from my experience which would have made it 5-star, and I'm sure I could have received them by simply asking... but I shouldn't have to ask! I want to read my book, relax, and pay zero attention to my surroundings. Namely, the massage chair I was sitting in either wasn't turned on or was out of order. (Unfortunate because others have spoken highly of these chairs.) Also, she didn't offer to do any nail art. Normally it's "Would you like a flower? *cough* please-say-yes-because-we-overcharge-a-whopping-$5-for-the-little-things *cough cough*" but--nothing. She just motioned for my sandals, helped me put them on, stated that it would be $18 dollars and took her next customer. No little fan for my still-wet polish, just, "Good luck walking down the street and getting in your car without messing those up!" Hmph. Luckily I managed, so that fourth star gets to stay.
