I did not notice, however, my daughter did.....when it was her turn for a wax, the woman used the SAME wax that she used for me (completely unsanitary). That was our first and LAST visit. well, i hate to do this, but 3 bad experiences in a row, and I must update my review- i used to go to this salon when i lived nearby, and liked it, so since moving further out in SF, i kept coming back but now must move on
i made 3 appointments for mani-pedis for myself and family- i got confused with the time on the day and we ended up being about 20min late (as soon as I realized we were late, I called to let them know)- we walk in to an empty salon on a weekday, at 1130am, and get SCOLDED by one of the ladies working there for our lack of respect and being late. I almost walked out then and there, but my mom, and my past experience convinced me to stay, however it immediately soured any good experiences i may have had here
recently i went in after i had a shellac (gel) manicure (by this very salon) and needed to have it taken off/ a regular manicure- well, everyone beware, they do not have any special products to remove shellac, they will try to "soak" your nails with regular acetone and then literally, proceed to try and peel off several layers of the gel with their own nails/ hands- while they were doing this, it actually hurt my fingers and I asked the lady to stop- she suggested i let them "soak" longer and proceed to go attend to another client while brushing me aside as i sat there with one set of fingers in tin foil- 20 minutes goes by and i finally ask what is going on, so another manicurist comes to finish it, and my nails are still not rid of the gel, so she returns to this brute peeling technique. i could go on and on and im annoyed even writing this- end result, i spent over an hour and a half at the salon, my nails are now COMPLETELY ruined from this peeling job of theirs- my nails are now short, and frail.
