Awe-Inspiring Pictures of Nail Art Designs - Glen Park Nails is the BEST place in Glen Park to get a mani/pedi. They are extremely friendly and have reasonable prices. They are always nice and it's a really calming experience being there. I've tried every nail place in glen park and this wins Hands Down! The salon is clean, they replenish their colors and they give you the right amount of attention and care. Really sweet ladies and much more pleasant than the other nail places on Diamond - TRUST me! They do high quality work and can't tell you how grateful I am to finally have found a good nail place in walking distance to my house! hooray! :D
Hey, what's with all the bad reviews? After searching on yelp for a nail salon near my house, I finally decided on Glen Park Nails. My sister and I have a regular salon (Top Ten Nails) but since our regular salon requires metered parking, I decided that it's time to search for a salon where I could actually relax and not have to worry about feeding my meter and ruining my manicure. I think we've finally found our "regular" spot. :)
My boyfriend, sister and I decided to get our nails done on a Friday afternoon. Actually, my sister had an event later that night, I was in dire need of a mani/pedi and my boyfriend was trooper and sat through his third manicure and first pedicure. Since I made an appointment the night before, the owner greeted us and actually got our names right! It was busy, but everyone looked like they were finishing up. The owner told us to pick a color from the vast amount of OPI and Essie nail polishes. Definitely a plus for carrying high quality nail polish brands instead of those cheap drugstore brands!
Immediately upon entering, I noticed how CLEAN the salon was and I was definitely surprised to find a nice, cozy salon which didn't reek of acetone! Due to their modest size, they only had 3 pedicure massage chairs which was perfect for all 3 of us. While getting our pedicures, I noticed that Glen Park Nails SANITIZES their instruments in Barbicide and keeps everything neat and orderly in plastic drawers. In addition to the sanitized instruments, they also thoroughly clean their baths! Trust me, I saw them scrubbing like there was no tomorrow! They also open up the packet of tools in front of you which is very reassuring for germaphobes like myself.
The pedicure was very relaxing and they really took their time to massage your feet and scrub your heels. Even though I wished they asked me what shape I wanted my nails, they lady knew exactly what she was doing and filed my nails perfectly. The ladies were SO friendly and were conversing with us which was real treat. :) It was also nice seeing my boyfriend enjoying his pedicure. Props to the lady who was doing his nails! Lol. My manicure was a little bit weird, though. I had a different lady do my manicure, but she didn't have a bowl of water for me to soak my fingers in. Granted that my manicure was absolutely gorgeous and my nails were perfectly shaped, but it definitely lacked that relaxing feel. She was very nice and conversed with me about.. life lol and she did a killer massage! I loved it!
